PAPER CUT-OUT ART

The Nativity Series, October-December 2020

After months of work-from-home and countless Zoom meetings, art has become a Sunday pastime and a chance to decompress and relax. In particular, paper cut-outs — the use of brightly colored paper of various hues and shades to create art. The first few pieces created were around the Nativity scene — the birth of Jesus Christ.

This kind of art is a chance to be creative and play around with feeling, color, impression, contrast, balance, and other elements to create something different and unique. All pieces are made of paper cut by a cutting knife, a straight edge or by scissors and glued together. Nothing drawn or painted.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it.

Thank you Pro. Mike for sharing. They are all very nice and give hope when you see these depictions of the Nativity that somewhere there is a light at the end of the tunnel from where we are in now – PANDEMIC. A ray of hope that our government must take the opportunity to bring us to the other side of the road. A Prosperous, Healthy and Joyous New Year Prof. Mike and to all.
